Last week when Borders was having their big bad super coupon sale, they had magazines $2 off. I had a hard time deciding to go with one of my favorites, Bust, or do-it-yourself. After flipping through Bust and seeing the little recipe section my mind was made up.
Kelly Carámbula wrote a yummy little article for Mom's Puppy Chow. I love Puppy Chow. More than anything. Obviously I know how to make it, but here's the twist. Mama Carámbula uses Corn Chex instead of Rice and BUTTERSCOTCH instead of chocolate. Insert drool here.
I couldn't wait to try it and this weekend I finally whipped up a batch. Definitely drool inducing indeed. The butterscotch gives it a distinct flavor and I can't quite decide if I like it more than the chocolate version. I think it's safe to say that this recipe mixed with a batch of the chocolate puppy chow would be a little taste of heaven.
